Copiapoa humilis

Copiapoa humilis, native to Chile, is a small, often clumping cactus with roots very similar to the growth style of turnips. When provided enough sunlight and proper care, they produce beautiful sulfur yellow flowers.

If growing outside during the warmer summer months, they can tolerate full sun but we caution the risk of sunburn under extreme sun. Watering in mid-summer should be limited to misting in the early morning (before the temperatures warm up) to mimic their natural environment.

Like most cacti, they are slow growing and prefer bright, direct sunlight (6+ hours daily) and watering only when soil is completely dry. Pot in a well-draining, mostly mineral cactus/succulent soil mix.
