Hoya Driftwood Mount

This mounted, living sculpture is made with Hoya and a small, cleaned mammal skull (found in the woods in Iowa) mounted using kokedama principles of soil, moss, and binding to create a hanging sculpture.

Hour grow best in bright, indirect light and watering when the kokedama root zone dries. Check for dryness approximately 1 time per week and water when needed by running water over the moss ball, or soaking for a few minutes in a bucket, sink, or vessel that will hold water and the mount easily. Allow to drip dry slightly before hanging again to avoid excess water dripping on your walls or floor. Another way to check for watering is to observe the individual leaves, they wrinkle slightly when they need water and become more flexible.
