Neanthe Bella (Chamaedorea elegans), also commonly referred to as “Parlor Palm” is a “entry level” palm that can be adapted to grow in lower light conditions, although they have more healthy and robust growth with brighter, indirect light.
These palms prefer lightly moist soil, with a brief period of dry out between watering. It is also best to avoid watering with water high in salts and chemicals, using purified water or a water conditioner prior to application helps avoid brown tips.
Pot up in a well-draining soil, so water can move quickly through and not sit for prolonged periods.
Dust the leaves periodically and keep an eye out for pests including spider mites.

Our plants are pest-free to the best of our knowledge. All plants are treated preventatively with Bonide Horticultural Dormancy Oil for spider mites, mealy bug, and thrips. In addition, our plants may also be preventatively treated with Bonide Systemic granules for mealy bug, scale, thrips, and fungus gnats.
