The Planted. Gallery was created and exists to hold space for creatives, artists, and our community. Our Gallery changes theme, artist(s), and artwork every single month, featuring photography, fine art, sculpture, ceramics, textile works, mixed media, and so much more. 

Gallery Show opening receptions occur in tandem with Dubuque’s First Friday Events.

Affordable Gifts for the Holiday Season

Celebrate the joy of giving with artwork made to be shared.

This exhibition highlights affordable, handcrafted pieces perfect for holiday gifting while supporting local artists and makers.

We're looking for work that is thoughtful, giftable, and accessible. Consider:

Wearable art
Small paintings
Functional objects
Holiday décor
Stocking stuffers

While holiday-inspired work is welcome, it isn't required. We encourage artists to create meaningful pieces someone would love to give, or receive!

We encourage submissions to be priced at $100 or less to help make original art accessible during the holiday season.

Meet Our Gallery Manager

Jes Stewart-Wagner

Jes is a Dubuque-based artist, designer, and curator dedicated to building community through creativity. As Gallery Manager at Planted., they curate exhibitions, support emerging and established artists, and help shape a space where art and conversation thrive. A Clarke University graduate with a B.A. in Studio Art and Graphic Design, Jes’s own work explores collaboration, storytelling, and the power of shared experience.
