Philodendron Florida Ghost ‘Mint’

Philodendron pedatum ‘Florida Ghost’! A fun, hard-to-find philodendron that is SO fantastic as a beginner plant for your rare collection.

The “Ghost” bit comes from its tendency to unfurl nearly white, creamy new leaves that eventually fade to green with age, SO DON’T BE SPOOKED by colorless leaves, it’s natural! This display, in combination with the shape of the leaf, is a remarkable sight to see.

Like many philodendrons, these enjoy some support to climb. 

For best color and performance, grow in a bright, indirect light and allow soil to dry between watering. Provide a pole or support to climb and plant in a well-draining, aroid potting substrate.

Philodendron are a tropical, vining plant native to tropical forests! They belong in the Araceae (Aroid) family along with Monstera, Epipremnum, and other aroids. In nature, they are found growing up trees, anchoring in place with aerial roots. As the plant matures and gains more height/stability, their leaves can get much larger.

3. Please PURCHASE A 72-HOUR HEAT PACK ($3) when temps are below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. -We only ship when our local temperatures are between 30-85 degrees Fahrenheit. PLEASE CHECK YOUR LOCAL TEMPS BEFORE ORDERING.
4. If your order is placed when temps are outside of our preferred window, we will hold your plant until we can ship your plant safely.
5. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. Blemishes and leaf damage is part of the risk taken when shipping a tropical plant. We take great care in packaging to prevent damage from occurring.
6. Our plants are pest-free to the best of our knowledge. All plants are treated preventatively with Natural, non-toxic horticultural sprays for spider mites, mealy bug, aphids, and thrips. Please quarantine your new plants as you would any other plant purchase prior to introducing into your collection.
7. We are not responsible for LOST AND STOLEN packages. If you live in an apartment building, please be vigilant in tracking your packages and be ready to receive the package.
