Wednesday, August 5th at 6pm kick off your creativity painting a ceramic pot at Dubuque Maker’s Club, choosing from a curated selection of pots!
THEN, come back Wednesday, August 12th, 6pm to learn about plants, pick a plant, and pot it up in your newly glazed creation!
Dubuque Maker’s Club will provide a curated selection of pots to choose from, all the glazes your heart could desire, and time to create your dream planter to fit your color vibe.
Planted. Will follow up with an assortment of tried and true plants guaranteed to set your planter off in style! Learn all about lighting, watering, and plant care basics. Choose your plant and pot it up with guidance from Planted.
Choose between the Smaller or Larger Planter Options, course fee includes:
- 1 Unglazed Planter (size depends on your selection)
- Glazes and supplies
- Glazing/firing service
- 1 Plant
- Soil
- Plant care and potting instruction
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
Maker's Club is Dubuque's destination for pottery painting, pottery wheel lessons, handbuilding workshops, parties, and creative experiences. Our welcoming studio makes it easy for anyone to create, relax, and have fun—all on a walk-in basis. We created our Maker's Space with true community in mind. Many of our customers come in regularly and build lasting relationships, while sharing stories, and learning new hobbies. We never tire of seeing what people create!
Planted. Is your go to houseplant shop in Dubuque, Iowa who specializes in tropical and arid indoor plants, local art, and so much more. Owner and instructor, Laura Klavitter, has a background in Horticulture from Iowa State University and over 15 years of experience building relationships between people and plants.
