Propagation is a fun way to learn how plants grow and make more plants to share with others or personally hoard as part of your growing collection!

This course will examine different propagation methods and principles. 

1. What and how you propagate matters! Different styles overview.
2. Cuttings, Divisions, Air Layering, Micropropagation, and Seed
3. Substrates and Mediums: Water, Moss, Perlite, Soil
4. Where you cut, when to cut
5. Heat mats, rooting hormone, humidity domes other tricks
6. Banned plants: Patents
7. What happens next? Roots, now what? 
8. Soils + Pots
9. Plant recommendations for easy propagation practice

COURSE SCHEDULE:

2 P.M.-3 P.M. LECTURE: Laura will guide you through a comprehensive class on the principles and different ways to propagate plants. 

3 P.M.-4 P.M. LAB: Join Quintin for a HANDS-ON “LAB” SESSION WHERE YOU GET TO CUT AND PROPAGATE REAL PLANTS!
